OHADA Seminar in Bangui

On Tuesday 18 June 2024, the Ledger Plaza Hotel in Bangui served as the venue for the launch ceremony of an awareness-raising seminar on the innovations of the OHADA Uniform Acts, organized in favour of professionals in Central African Republic under the European Union-funded Programme to Support Regional Integration and Investment in Central Africa (PAIRIAC). Chaired on behalf of the Minister of State for Justice, the Promotion of Human Rights and Good Governance by Mr Arnaud AHMAT DEYA, Director of Cabinet, the ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr Douglas CARPENTER, Ambassador, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Central African Republic.

For three days, participants from various professional bodies ( Judges and Legal Officers of the Courts and Tribunals, Lawyers, Notaries, Bailiffs, Court Registrars, Bank Lawyers, Members of the OHADA National Commission of the Central African Republic) will brainstorm with facilitators on various innovative aspects of the Uniform Acts with a view to improving their professional practice. In addition to the sixty-five (65) in-person participants, nearly two hundred (200) people registered online will be able to take part in this seminar.
